We see colors splashed on our morning paper and on the billboards all around us while we are outdoor. We see messages transmitted to us through the tube, and we hear constant slogans all day long. We are being sold huge number of products while we are awake. Just a matter of time when the companies learn a way to embed messages in our dreams. People will be sold to advertisers and indirectly to companies. We are being hunted day and night. We are being watched and noted to see what can make us take out money from our pockets. What colors we like, what text appeals to us, what are our likes, dislikes... And sometimes, we are being enforced to change all we like and love to love and like the way they want us to...
They are out there to get us... They are out there to establish claims of being number one in their class, and they are out there to sell us things at quality higher than others and prices lower than others.
Who is right? What is happening around us? How do we fit in the picture? Let's try to be aware.
Through this blog, my friends and I will try to cover the advertising scene in Pakistan, and the promises made and broken by different companies to sell their product. We will upload videos of the commercials running on the TV, scans of newspaper ads, and what not. We want to evaluate the quality of an ad, the quality of a product, and we'll cover the makings of different brands.
